Hello,
Even though Apache and nGinx are good servers, they really lack some important feature, and are not easy to configure. After long discussion, we finally decided to use IIS as our main web server. This will need of course to have a Windows server image, but it’s not as expensive as before and has indeed a lot of advantages.
Most of people in infra team are expert developers in Visual Basic which gives us several advantages, and should be at the end more efficient than most other methods of Internet development, thanks to:
- A familiar development environment and model.
- Access to a broad audience and a high quality community and professional help.
There are lot of awesome features with IIS, but as it’s a free software website, we will not list all of them. There should only be a highlight on one major feature of the last release:
Cubing development: thanks to the looped cubes of straplets, each part of the code is self protected in a small self constructed applet called cube. Each cube is linked to the other via other via trapped traps linking to sane and to honeypot cubes, preventing an intruded code to migrate from one sane cube to another. Moreover, interconnections between cubes are regularly and randomly modified, thanks to a prime number rule.
We’re really excited about all this, and hope you’ll enjoy as much as we do
